Hydro MPC

Grundfos Hydro MPC booster systems are designed for water transfer and pressure boosting in commercial buildings and industrial applications. Systems consist of 2 to 6 parallel connected Grundfos CRIE in-line pumps fitted with high efficiency IE4 rated motors that incorporate integrated frequency converters to provide constant output pressure whatever the demand. Systems operate through continuous adjustment of the pump speed, pump selection and changeover being automatic with operating pumps running together at the same speed.

Sets are supplied complete and ready for installation including the pumps, integrated control cabinet, system sensors, inlet and outlet piping with valves and diaphragm tank all frame mounted. All components in contact with water are made from ASI304 stainless steel including the suction and discharge manifolds and pumps incorporates a flange pull back design for easy removal without interfering with the manifold piping.

Pumps are coupled to the high efficiency 'Blue Flux' totally enclosed fan cooled 2 pole motors with integrated frequency drive. Motors up to 2.2kW are rated IE4 efficiency class and the rest at IE3. Motors with integrated frequency converter do not require external motor protection as it incorporates thermal protection to guard against electrical and mechanical overload.

At the heart of the Hydro MPC is the Grundfos CU352 multi pump control unit which contains applications and operational software and also electrical and hydraulic data for the pump to be controlled. Features include:-

  • Proportional pressure through friction loss compensation to achieve constant pressure at user's outlets.
  • Control panel with digital readout including 'Status', 'Operation', 'Alarm' and 'Settings' menus and also the facility to programme the system for the required operating conditions.
  • Remote monitoring facility for integration with external Building Management System.

Grundfos Hydro MPC booster systems are state-of-the-art designs incorporating quality components that give assured performance in installations where reliability is essential. The combination of high-efficiency motors and sophisticated control functionality also provides the lowest operating costs to give optimal pressure boosting solutions in a wide variety of applications.

NOTE: The systems indicated are a selection of the range available for common applications. Uniquely specified systems are available to suit non-standard installation requirements.
