It always surprises me how quickly Christmas passes and the new year then starts running away from us, it already being March! At D&S we start the year finalising the Annual Plan that is presented groupwide in a plenary meeting now made easier with virtual communication so those in the Group's farthest outposts can participate.
The D&S Group is pleased to announce its latest digital innovation, the Dayliff Pool Tool, a free for download smartphone app available from the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
We reach the end of another year and despite the continuing Covid disruptions it has not been unsuccessful for the D&S Group with satisfactory revenue growth and qualitative progress in a number of areas.
It's amazing how quickly the years pass as we now approach the end of 2021! Of course, Covid has continued to disrupt but it does seem to be in retreat as the vaccines are rolled out and the world slowly returns to a new normality. The pandemic has certainly caused great problems to many businesses, though at D&S we have all worked hard to manage it and the year will close with business levels slightly up. We are grateful for this.
The Davis and Shirtliff Product Manual is now a well-established reference for the wide D&S product range that defines industry standards in the water and energy markets. The Manual was introduced in2010 and has been annually updated ever since, the latest 2022 version, the 12th edition, being released at the recent Group Management Conference.
Themed 'D&S v3.0', this year's Management Conference, a hybrid event spanning seven days, has taken place in the Conference facility of the Dayliff Building at D&S HO using new state of the art conferencing equipment for the first time that enhanced and enriched the experience for all participants.
We live in difficult times with Covid still a big issue in the country that is causing considerable disruption and suffering to many.
Though there are good prospects of a return to new normality with the vaccine rollout, which we are strongly encouraging our staff to have, the ramifications of the ongoing pandemic continue to be felt in many areas. This is particularly so within the world supply chain caused by Covid restrictions, material shortages and price increases and now disruption to the world shipping and logistics networks.
