New products are the life blood of any organization and the D&S Technical Division under Director Philip Holi have been busy developing various new innovations that are now ready for distribution throughout the D&S network.
My journey of 26 years with this great company has led me to taking up the responsibility as Group CEO with effect from June 2022. It has been a wonderful experience to see and participate in the growth the company has achieved over these years, and a high honour and a privilege to be asked to lead such a world-class and important business.

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is East Africa’s leading supplier of water and energy related equipment, first established by Eddie Davis and his partner, Dick Shirtliff in 1946. Dick sold his shares to Devji Shingadia in 1970 and after Eddie passed on in 1982, the firm was run by Shingadia and Eddie’s son, Alec Davis, who had joined in 1976.
Alec Davis is a seasoned Chairman holding the role in two organisations, at Davis & Shirtliff in an Executive capacity and at Gertrude’s Childrens’ Hospital in a non-executive capacity.
